Political Scene
Bill C-36, which is again trying to “protect us” from Natural Health products is in House reading. PLEASE contact your MP to get their stance on this and make your views known.
I am aware of 2 cases, too close to home for comfort, in the last couple of months.
1. An ND in Alberta, Eldon Haas, had his home searched while he and wife were held at gun point for most of the day. Folic Acid was confiscated.
2. Marigold, a natural pharmacy in Courtenay, BC, was searched with the assistance of 2 armed RCMP, $146,000 of natural products confiscated, and pharmacy closed down.
These are only 2 incidents of which I know; many more have surely happened, and yes, folks, this is IN Canada. I have spoken to both of these people to verify this, and unfortunately , both are true!
Bill C-36 can only make things worse for those who are willing to help themselves to better health. Big Pharma is threatened by potential decrease in sales, and Canadians are selling their souls for the sake of the “global economy”, if they don’t speak up.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has once again given their seal of approval for the injection of a dangerous cocktail of toxic chemicals they call a trivalent vaccine. The 2010/11 recipients of AstraZeneca’s FLUMIST will be exposed to several strains of live viruses including H1N1 and H3N2. The vaccine also contains MSG and other known neurotoxins and immunotoxins.

Saint Augustine defined the grace of love as Volo ut sis—I want you to be. There is, he wrote, an affirmation of the mystery of the other in relationships based on love, an affirmation of unexplained and unfathomable differences. Relationships based on love recognize that others have a right to be. These relationships accept the sacredness of difference. This acceptance means that no one individual or belief system captures or espouses an absolute truth. All struggle, in their own way, some outside of religious systems and some within them, to interpret mystery and transcendence.
Raising Healthy Children:
The job of the infant and toddler is to move, touch and connect with other humans. Restrained by bucket seats, strollers and backpacks, infants aged 0-2 years old watch an average 2.2 hours per day of TV, and 25% have TV’s in their bedrooms. Toddlers age 3-5 years use 4.5 hours per day of combined technology. This technology overuse is resulting in delays in achieving developmental milestones needed for school entry. One third of children who enter school will be categorized as “developmentally vulnerable” and go on to fail their grade 4
and 7 exams and not complete high school. Low postural tone, poor coordination, delayed speech, behavior disorders, and difficulty paying attention are just a few 21st century problems concerning therapists throughout North America. Movement, touch and human connection is crucial in this day and age of technology obsession.
