How much water you should drink every day?

Question:                                                                                                                                                                                                                      There has been a lot of contr0versy about how much water a person needs to drink daily. What is your opinion?              JV, from AZ

Answer:

How much water you should drink every day?                                                                                                                                       A recent National newscast stated that we did not need to drink water unless we are thirsty, but the problem is that many people do not recognize thirst and mistake it for hunger.  On this show some medical doctor stated we get enough in our fruits and vegetables. But other Doctors, such as Dr. Batamanghelidj, author of Your Body’s Many Cries for Water,  state otherwise. Macrobiotic theory does not promote excess water drinking. Their diet is well balanced in yin and yang, with adjustments for where they live, what season, consists of many more vegetables than a  Standard American Diet (SAD) and does not have excess yin and yang of sugar salt and coffee. From my clinical experience, many diets are deficient in fruits and vegetables. So obviously how much water is a controversial subject!

What I advise my clients is to divide their body weight in pounds by 1/2 and that equals the number of ounces of water needed per day. For example for a 150 lb. person  divided by 2 = 75 oz. per day. This is just a  guideline figure to be adjusted to suit you. Adjust according to YOUR level of activity, temperature, age and your diet. Pay attention to your body, keep in mind the  9 points below,  know the signs of dehydration and listen to your body!

Political Scene

People world wide are demonstrating against government over-control and increased bureaucracy intended to limit our freedoms. Especially in Canada and the US, rights which we fought long and hard to guarantee in our constitutions, are becoming eroded.

We need to let politicians know that WE elect and pay them and we expect to have our voices heard. Get involved, while you still have the right to. As we become involved, let us not look for what’s wrong and what’s missing, as this thinking can attract more of the same negative.

We can help direct positive change by daily expression of gratitude for what we DO have.  Focus on a loving world that provides for all and let this  positive emotion create a vibration that attracts to us an increased experience of the good. The tides are turning as we balance the dark greed forces with those of light and love. With this loving energy we can create the changes we desire. Since your mind is going to hold images of something, hold images of high ideals.

At Nature’s Sunshine 35th Canadian Health and Herbal Conference, Oct. 2011, I attended an excellent lecture from Jay P. Vanden Heuvel, PhD, ND on natural approaches to cancer. This was an affirming lecture, as everything he mentioned is included in my book, plus some extra helpful tips.

Tick Removal:

This email has been circulating as coming from a nurse who discovered a safe, easy way to remove ticks where they automatically withdraw themselves when you follow her simple instructions.

“Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20); the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away.  This technique is much less traumatic for the patient and easy. It works in those places where it’s sometimes difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc.”

Some websites do not agree with this, and still feel that needlepointed tweezers that are able to grab the tick right around the neck where the tick has entered the skin, then pulling straight out is the best way to remove.

Political Scene

New information shows that a court order revealed the American company PG and E (BC Hydro’s equivalent) admitted that Smart Meters emit 14000 bursts of radiation per day, or every 6 seconds, up to 190,000 per day. Although actual data might be sent out only a few times a day, radiation is sent out thousands of times in order to keep the meters active and communicating.  This is from one meter in your home, and not including all the surrounding meters. Also, smart meter radiation provides at least 50x more full body radiation exposure than a cell phone, and 100x higher than a level internationally recognized as “Extreme concern”. This information is from the Santa Cruz Public Health authority which has no vested interest other than public health!

We were a family that did not believe in the safety or efficacy of vaccines. Our Vancouver doctor even suggested that we do some research before we decide to vaccinate our daughter. When we moved to Vancouver Island, we were coerced into getting her vaccinated for school, at the  age of 5.

The DPT vaccine changed our previously healthy, happy daughter. She screamed for days, turned a pasty grey colour, her hands and feet were freezing all the time. Once the screaming subsided, she turned emotionally cold, stopped talking and interacting. She actually shrank physically in size and mind. The doctor would not acknowledge a vaccine reaction or submit an adverse report, so we now understand why there are not more reactions reported.

We tried everything for years, including nutrition, play therapy and counseling. Finally at age 12 an Anthroposophical Doctor diagnosed her with Asperger’s-type Autism, and we finally learned how to help her. Improvements were gradual, and she is now fine, however not the outgoing personality before this one vaccine.

Needless to say we have not touched vaccines again for her or any of our family.

Sept. 12, 2011: I received great news after my scans in August. They showed that there are no new tumors or inflammation anywhere and the tumors that were there have shrunk in size.  Interesting tidbit about Healthy Beverages

Why Coke is not a healthy substance to put inside your body:

 1.  In some states highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2.  You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3.  Coca-Cola can clean toilets, remove stains from vitreous china, remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers, clean corrosion from car battery terminals, loosen a rusted bolt, clean truck engines. For some of these jobs, we prefer to use natural products such as NSP Concentrate or Nature’s Fresh.

4. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8.  It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. To carry Coca Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly Corrosive materials.

Think before you drink !   7-up now also contains synthetic caffeine. Besides the deleterious effects of this on your body, all pop acidifies your body, stresses your insulin metabolism and depletes your minerals, especially calcium and magnesium. Sugar free drinks with aspartame are no better, as they destroy your brain and nerves.

Maybe you will choose healthier options like Zambroza , Chlorophyll or any of the Solstic beverages, Green Tea, E-Tea, Licorice.

 

Vaccination

Another infant dies within 1 week of multiple vaccines. Studies have been stating that vaccines are causing children to die for many years.

The Pourcyrous study was the first to examine the impact of multi-vaccinations on the immature brain. It is clear from the results of this study that the more vaccines a child has, the larger impact the vaccines have on the child’s brain.

Results of either a single vaccine or multiple vaccines:

–         Abnormal elevation of CRP level occurred in 85% of infants administered multiple vaccines and up to 70% of those given a single vaccine.

–         -16% of infants had vaccine-associated cardio-respiratory events within 48 hours post immunization.

–         Other incidents: severe intraventricular hemorrhage, and  gastroesophageal reflux (GER)

This study has had so much impact that it has now being quoted in papers and books on adverse reactions to vaccines and SIDS worldwide.

Yet another vaccine is to be added to babies vaccine schedule, the Meningitis B vaccine , we to ask ourselves how many infant deaths will it take before action is taken?

This article has been written in memory of Stacy Sirjacobs and the many hundreds of babies who have lost their life after receiving what the governments tell us are ‘safe vaccines’.

This Newsletter was started in early December. Unfortunately my time since then has been focused with my Mother, who after 13 trying days in hospital, left her tired body Christmas Day.

 Audrea Benoit’s philopsophy was to live, laugh and love. She lived the Golden Rule, and helped many people throughout her life.

 She had a very active life right up to 87 years + because she remained drug free until 85 years old. She was a firm believer in herbs, (one of my staunchest supporters), good diet and exercise. Watching her final experiences in the hospital and with the North American Drug Ceremony, makes me more determined than ever to help people learn how to take control of their lives and their health naturally. My mother was an avid Line Dancer, teaching ‘til almost 86, so from her and our office, New Year’s Wishes for you

 Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening
And live every day as if it were your last.

 Political Scene

This is the first fire and explosion in B.C. which we are aware of caused by Smart Meters.  Other both BC and other areas smart meter incidents include: burnt out appliances and medical devices, damaged wiring, and property damage surrounding meters.

Numerous adverse health incidents continue to be reported, including occupants who were unaware that a radiating spy meter had been installed.

Derma Segmental Reflexology – DSR deep massage
DSR is a powerful deep massage without any use of oil or lotion. It increases the blood flow, oxygen and nutrient supply. This will release stress and tension in muscles and tissues, while stimulating blood flow to the organs. Toxins stored in fat cells are released with DSR treatment, thereby decreasing the risks of functional disturbances. Health Tips
First Aid for Burns: Silver Gel heals and prevents infection. If area is too sensitive to apply Gel, Silver Guard as a spray is amazing. Dr. Pedersen has pictures, somewhat gross to look at, of an 80+ year old woman with 3rd degree burns to both legs – completely healed with no scarring using liquid silver Guard as a spray. If you do not have silver on hand, which every household should have, here is a home remedy that is almost as effective. Spray cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced and the skin stops burning. Then spread egg whites on the affected area. If you can, beat them slightly then apply. The whites when dried and form a protective layer of natural collagen. Continue for at least one hour applying layer upon layer of beaten egg whites. Pain and scarring are reduced and skin regeneration enhanced by both of these treatments.

Wasp Stings: Keep Tei Fu Oil on hand and apply a couple of drops immediately – stops pain and prevents reactions, even in those sensitive. Works on most bites, including spider, bees, mosquitoes.

Allergies:
To help a person who has allergy problems, one must play detective. There are several body systems which may need to be addressed to solve the riddle. Determining which one or ones are the priorities can help to find quicker resolution. Every person is an individual, and although there are some herbs which will help many people most of the time, there are more severe or stubborn cases, where some sleuthing can make a difference quicker and with longer lasting benefits.

If some people actually think there have been deaths from vitamins… which of course is ridiculous because the very word means “Vital Minerals”, please direct them to this one article. It is an excellent backup for those of us who find ourselves struggling to convince people… the article clearly shows that there has not been ONE proven death from natural products in the last 27 YEARS.

Compare this to the annual deaths reported by government agencies on deaths from adverse effects of drugs – in the USit is now over 160,000 per year! (Canadawould be roughly 1/10 of that figure).

It was Charles Fillmore, the founder of the Unity religion, who on his 90th birthday wrote this affirmation:  “I spring out of bed and fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm and go forth this day to do the things that ought to be done by me.”

Have a healthy happy summer storing up your Vit. D3 – sun is good for you in moderation. Protect yourself with clothing and shade, rather than sunscreen, especially between 10am and 2 pm.

Interesting Stats: deaths per year from adverse reactions of properly prescribed Drugs in various countries:
US: 106,000
UK: 10,000 Compare this to deaths from car accidents – 3,500 and from Prostate Ca – 9,000 (I wonder how many of these are from the cancer treatment?)
Canada: 1/10 of US generally, meaning 10,000+

Compare to this proven, not alleged, deaths from vitamins, minerals, herbs or other natural products: 0 – that’s ZERO. In all of the above countries.Whenever we ask Health Canada to release their purported adverse reactions to NPNs, they refuse to follow freedom of information regulations.

Humour

Never under-estimate what one person can accomplish……

Recently a 98 year-old lady named Irena Sendler passed away.
During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Nurse. She had an ‘ulterior motive’. As a German, she KNEW what the Nazi’s plans were for the Jews. Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried in the back of her truck. She had a dog that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.
During her time doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants from the gas chambers.
She was caught, and the Nazi’s broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.
After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived and reunited the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize … She was not selected.

She died, being nursed by one of the children she saved. It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War. In memory of the millions around the world who were/are murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated. It is imperative to make sure the world never forgets these past atrocities, because there are others who continue to do it today.
